Pasta: Basic but the best

What’s better than pasta?

I don’t know the answer to that question, but I can say that pasta with amazing ingredients added can make it incredibly tasty. Pasta is a staple for a quick go to meal, especially with the singles, couples, families or large gatherings with friends. Pasta is a basic but it can become complex if you add certain ingredients such as beef mince and home made sauce. My homemade sauce is one that I make every time I cook pasta and have gotten great feedback.

During the time I start boiling my water for pasta, I prepare the sauce. I cut 2 ripped tomatoes, 1 red onion and 3 garlic. I finely cut the tomato and onions to help with the cooking process. The garlic is grated finely and adds a punch. I prepare my sauce in another pan because it allows me time to cook the pasta. I place the tomato, onion and garlic in the pan with olive oil and some salt. I wait 3 minutes for the ingredients to cook before adding 1 tablespoon of pesto paste, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and 1 tablespoon of dried oregano. I do add water but wait until it is reduce to a sauce like consistency.

The sauce shouldn’t take more than 8 minutes to prepare and should be done the same time as your pasta. Cook your beef mince, chicken, pork or keep it vegetarian if you like. Add the sauce and then the pasta, stir and serve. To pair this pasta, create a nice Greek salad with 2 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes, white cheese or feta, 10 olives cut in half, and a quarter of a bag of spinach. Toss them all together and serve with your favourite dressing.

Next time you wanna make pasta, try my sauce and see if it’s a hit ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
