New Discovery: Social Hideout Parramatta

Image
Are you struggling to find a brunch place to go on a date with your friends, families or significant other? Social Hideout located in Parramatta is the place to go. This place is known as one of the most ‘instagrammable’ cafe in Sydney! AND the food is as delicious as it looks. Definitely ordered the Red Velvet Benedict, which consisted of poached eggs, baby spinach, hollandaise, red velvet croissant and topped off with crispy bacon. Everything about this meal just screams WOW! The egg was poached well and the golden brown bacon was cooked to perfection. The Red Velvet croissant gave it a nice sweetness, however was not overly sweet for it to overpower the taste of the dish. It was the perfect combination of super flaky and buttery. Overall, the food was amazing and Social Hideout is by far one of the magical cafes in Sydney and you must try it! Isn't that pretty or what?! -Josephine ๐Ÿ”

A Turkish Breakfast Affair: delicious way to be with the family

Image
What is the best way to start a Sunday?  With breakfast, but not any ordinary breakfast but a delicious Turkish breakfast with the family. Food is what brings people, friends and families together as everyone loves to eat, right? Today, the best china and dishes were served at the table as family members joined together to have a lovely catch up. The dishes selected for this particular breakfast was spinach and fetta bรถrek which is filled pastry cut in squares or triangles. Plain filled pastry to use like chips to dip into the eggplant tomato deep fried sauce. There were other dishes like poached eggs with hollandaise sauce to add a Western twist. The main piece of the breakfast was the white goat cheese, Turkish salaam, black olives, cucumber, tomato and avocado platter with sprinkles of strawberries to add some sweetness. The platter was assembled with the main objected of being aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast was a success with lots of laugher, smiles...

Heavenly birthday slice: rich chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache

Image
No birthday is complete with out a spectacular birthday cake. Thursday at the Smith household was no exception. This year, the cake was a delectable white chocolate mud cake with a white chocolate ganache and an indulgent dulce de leche ganache over the top. To finish the cake a healthy serving of Maltesers to finish the decorations. The flavours were a perfect blend of sweet, but not overly sweet and the ganache melted on the tongue. This cake is extremely versatile, if super sweet white chocolate galore is not your style, it can easily be swapped out for milk, or even dark chocolate, for a dense rich cake to please the hardcore chocolate enthusiasts. This cake can be used for birthday parties of all ages, functions and family get togethers, there is almost no situation where this cake would be out I place. A sexy photoshoot of the cake from all different angles to appreciate this beautiful masterpiece - Declan ๐Ÿž
